Start Plan: from purchase to adding your first router

Published: 2026-07-26

A practical guide covering the current plan grants, MikroTik RouterOS v7 requirements, KWSM setup, and using the tunnel address to add the router in Karcsham Fi.

Start Plan is a light monthly subscription for a customer who wants a clean first setup: link one MikroTik router through KWSM, then use that link to add the router in Karcsham Fi and manage hotspot cards from a browser or phone.

Check the current price on the Start Plan product page before paying, because the product page is the source of truth for current pricing.

Current grants included

Each monthly subscription period currently includes:

  • Karcsham Fi: manage up to 10 routers.
  • Karcsham Fi: generate up to 200 vouchers.
  • Karcsham Fi: 5 root batch purge runs.
  • Karcsham Fi: bulk voucher generation.
  • KWSM: one VPN router.

These are system operating limits. The KWSM address you later use inside KF is a tunnel/operational address for the router; it is not a public dedicated IP and it does not grant extra access beyond what the plan includes.

Before you buy

Confirm these requirements first:

  • You have a MikroTik router running RouterOS v7. This workflow is not suitable for RouterOS v6 because the KWSM router link here depends on WireGuard in RouterOS v7.
  • You have administrator access to the router and can open Terminal or New Terminal through WinBox, WebFig, or the MikroTik app.
  • The router has internet access and can reach the KWSM server.
  • You have a KARCSHAM Central account and can access the store and connected applications.
  • On a computer, download official MikroTik WinBox.
  • On a phone, download the MikroTik app on the App Store or MikroTik Pro on Google Play.
  • If you need to run a WireGuard tunnel from a phone or computer, use the official WireGuard install page.
  • If the router is on RouterOS v6, review the official MikroTik guide for upgrading to v7 before continuing.

You can check the RouterOS version from System then Resources, or from Terminal with /system/resource/print. Do not run a KWSM script on a device when you do not know its version or do not have permission to administer it.

Buy the plan from Central

  1. Sign in to KARCSHAM Central.
  2. Open the store, then Start Plan.
  3. Read the grants and plan limits, and confirm that your MikroTik router runs RouterOS v7.
  4. Add the plan to the cart and complete the order and payment using the method shown on the site.
  5. After the order is approved and the subscription is active, the plan permissions will appear in connected systems after synchronization.

If payment or approval is still pending, do not start router setup until the subscription is active or the support team guides you.

Prepare the MikroTik router in KWSM

After the plan is active:

  1. Open connected applications from KARCSHAM Central, then enter KWSM.
  2. Add the router or open the VPN router setup page available to you.
  3. Generate the WireGuard script for MikroTik RouterOS v7 from KWSM.
  4. Open the router through WinBox, WebFig, or the MikroTik app, then open Terminal.
  5. Copy the script from KWSM, paste it into Terminal, and run it once.
  6. After the script runs, a public key will be available for the interface, or KWSM will instruct you to collect it from the router.
  7. Return to KWSM, paste the public key into the required field, and save.
  8. Wait for server apply to complete. Do not keep rerunning the script while apply is pending.
  9. When apply is complete, run the KWSM connection check.
  10. If the check succeeds, save the router's KWSM address. This is the address you will use as the IP or Host when adding the router in Karcsham Fi.

Use only the script generated for your own account. Do not share scripts, keys, or configuration files, and do not reuse a script from another account.

Add the router in Karcsham Fi

After the KWSM connection check succeeds:

  1. Open Karcsham Fi from Central connected applications.
  2. Open Settings, then Routers.
  3. Press Add Router.
  4. Enter a clear router name.
  5. In IP or Host, enter the KWSM address you received after the successful check.
  6. Enter the router API credentials. Use a dedicated management account if available, and do not share the password outside the site.
  7. Complete the hotspot name, currency, and any required fields.
  8. Save, then press Test Connection.
  9. When the test succeeds, select the router and start managing packages, vouchers, and reports within the plan limits.

What can you do after the first setup?

Once the router works in KF, you can use the base grants: router management within the limit, voucher generation, bulk generation, and daily operation. Later, you can purchase add-ons as needed, such as:

  • Custom hotspot login pages.
  • Extra voucher generation quota.
  • Additional Karcsham Fi router capacity.
  • Additional KWSM routers or access capacity if you need more than one VPN router.

When should you contact support?

Create a service request if:

  • The router runs RouterOS v6 and you are not sure whether it can be upgraded safely.
  • The script fails or the public key does not appear.
  • Server apply stays pending for an unusual time.
  • The KWSM connection check fails even though the router has internet access.
  • KWSM succeeds but Karcsham Fi cannot test the router connection.

Include the RouterOS version, router name, latest error message, and whether the script was run once or more than once. Do not put passwords in the public request description; share access details only inside request messages when the team asks for them.
